What is the Powerplay247 password?

Only some older IDs were given a password, which support handed over once. It was never something you created on a signup form. Today, login uses the mobile number on your Powerplay247 ID and an OTP sent to that number, on both the website and the app.

That's why searches for a password reset or forgotten password often lead nowhere. There's no email inbox, reset link or security question to try. The steps below cover what to do instead.

What should you do if you forgot your password?

1. Check the number. Log in with the mobile number on your ID, not a second SIM or an old number, and ask for the OTP.
2. Wait before resending. Give the code a minute or two, since repeated resends make it hard to tell which code is the latest.
3. Check your network. Turn off any VPN and switch between mobile data and Wi-Fi, because a VPN on a new device can stop the OTP arriving.
4. Message support through the official WhatsApp linked from this site. Give the number on your ID and ask whether it uses OTP or an older password.
5. Hold off on a new ID. Don't register a second one while you wait, because a backup ID is how both end up locked.

Is there a password reset page?

This site doesn't publish a self-service reset page, because OTP login has no password to reset. A page offering a Powerplay247 password reset by email, or asking for your ID, an OTP and a new password in one form, follows the copycat pattern. Take access problems to support on the official WhatsApp.

How can you spot a fake login password page?

• It asks for a password on an ID that never had one.
• Its domain differs from the website and app links published on this site.
• It wants your OTP typed into a form along with a new password.
• A chat or SMS sent you the link, warning that your ID will be blocked unless you verify it.
• Someone asks you to read your OTP aloud, including a person claiming to be support.

Close the tab, delete any saved browser entry for that page, and open the official link from this site. If you already typed a password or OTP into a suspicious page, tell support on WhatsApp straight away.

Which login issues look like password problems?

• OTP delay: the code arrives late or not at all, so login seems stuck.
• Wrong number: the number you enter isn't the one registered on the ID.
• New SIM: a new SIM without your old number ported won't receive the OTP, so tell support before registering again.
• VPN or new device: a VPN can break OTP delivery on a new device, so turn it off to log in.
• Old or copycat app: an outdated or copied APK can show a password screen the real app doesn't have.
• Locked ID: only support can clear a lock, and more attempts won't help.

What should you never share when asking for help?

• Your OTP, even with someone who says they're support.
• Any password support gave you, whether in a group chat or a screenshot.
• Your bank login details or UPI PIN.
• Money to 'unlock' or 'secure' your ID. Support fixes access without any payment to a personal UPI.

Send support the mobile number on your ID, a screenshot of the error and the time it happened. That gives them what they need to find your ID.
