How to Bet on Session Betting

A session is a slice of an innings with its own runs market. Common ones cover the first 6 overs, 10 overs, 15 overs and 20 overs, plus runs by a single batsman or the fall of the next wicket. Players in India also call these fancy markets.

Sessions are popular because they settle quickly. A six-over market on a T20 innings is decided within about half an hour, well before anyone knows who will win the match.

The market shows two numbers, for example No 47 and Yes 48. If you bet No, you win when the team scores 47 or fewer in those overs. If you bet Yes, you win when they score 48 or more. The one-run gap between the lines is where the market makes its margin.

Each line has a rate next to it. It tells you how much you win for every ₹100 you stake. At a rate of 100 you win ₹100 for ₹100. At 90 you win ₹90. The rate usually shifts toward the side the market thinks is more likely.

The line follows the game. A wicket in the fourth over pulls a six-over line down by several runs. A couple of boundaries push it up. The market may be suspended for a few seconds while a review or a big moment is decided.

Treat each session as a separate bet with its own small stake. It is easy to place five or six session bets in one innings and end up risking far more than planned. Decide before the match how many sessions you will bet on and how much each one gets.

Look at the venue's recent scores for the same overs. A ground where six-over scores usually land in the 40s tells you more than a hunch about one batsman.
